HOH parents were also there to help on “restoration day,” November 12. Soon, signage will be in stalled describing the bioswale and the types of plants growing there. This spring, and for the next five years, the HOH club will monitor the bioswale restora tion to be sure that invasive plants do not return, and will baby the native plants to make sure they get enough water. During the summer, HOH fami lies will volunteer to keep the plants healthy. The HOH club is proud of its contribution toward cleaning storm water runoff and provid ing a healthy schoolyard habi tat for plants and animals. The bioswale can now act as an outdoor classroom for all the students at Banks Elementary.
