Hygienist joins Vernonia Dental Vernonia businesses attend customer service workshop
Julie Brown is the new hy-
gienist at Vernonia Dental. She
started on July 27, 2004 and is
available for appointments on
Tuesdays.
Brown worked on a project
in Vernonia last spring to bring
dental screenings and care to
second and third graders. She
worked with Dr. Scheuerman
on that project, liked Vernonia
and Vernonia Dental, and sent
him a resume when she gradu-
ated from hygienist school in
June.
A dental assistant for over
10 years, Brown wanted to be
more involved in patient educa-
tion, a service hygienists pro-
vide but assistants do not. “I
like to help people out,” Brown
said.
Currently living in St. He-
lens, Brown expects the future

For Success led the group of
local business people who at-
tended in identifying:
• Who is the customer?
• What do they expect?
• What’s the most effective
way to get customers?
• What will bring the cus-
tomer back?
It sounds simple, but the an-
swers that came out in the
workshop appeared to help all
the attendees to see new and
better ways to improve their
businesses through new ways
to provide customer service.
Future free seminars and
workshops are planned.
