Requirements: Possession or ability to Obituary ROSEMARY WILSON Rosemary Wilson, 90, Aloha, died November 19, 2003. A memorial serv- ice was held December 5. Interment was at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland. Mrs. Wilson was born Rosemary Kelly on October 26, 1913, in St. He- lens to Elton and Viola (Treharne) Kel- ly. She graduated from Vernonia High School. In 1931, she married Harry W. Wilson, Sr. They made their home in Seaside and she moved to Aloha in 1998. She was a dental assistant until retirement. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, a brother, a sister and a step-brother. Survivors include her son, Harry, Jr. of Aloha; a daughter, Margaret Bruno of San Jose, Calif.; two sisters, Mary Pin- ney and Ethyl Morrell; two step-broth- ers, Edwin and Noah Treharne; and eight grandchildren. Remembrances are suggested to the Alzheimers’ and Geriatric Neurolo- gy Clinic through the Oregon Health & Science University Foundation. Donelson, Sewell & Mathews Mor- tuary was in charge of arrangements. LYGIA E. PARSONS Lygia E. Parsons, 96, St. Helens, died November 25, 2003. A graveside service was held November 29 at For- est Grove Cemetery. Mrs. Parsons was born August 23, 1907, in Moselle, Mo. She moved to Oregon in 1922 and graduated from Vernonia High School in 1926. She completed her education at a business college in Portland. In 1931, she married Wilmer Par- sons. They made their home in Port- land where she worked as an account- ant top secretary until retirement. She was preceded in death by her husband. Survivors include a sister, Freda Koberg; nieces and nephews. GEORGE R. MCFARLANE George R. McFarlane, 98, Forest Grove, died December 5, 2003. A serv- ice was held December 11 at the First Christian Church in Forest Grove. Graveside services were held at Union Point Cemetery in Banks. Mr. McFarlane was born March 24, 1905, in Conway, Michigan, to James and Rosetta (June) McFarlane. He moved to Banks at age 3 and graduat- ed from Banks High School. In 1926, he married Letha Shipley. They moved to Forest Grove in 1930. He worked at Hudson House Cannery and was a self-employed household appliance repairman. He was preceded in death by a son, two brothers, three sisters and a grandson. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Raymond of Rockaway, Dr. Stephen of Reno, Nev., and Edwin of Milwaukie; a daughter, Nadine Kyle of Forest Grove; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; six great-great- grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Remembrances are suggested to the First Christian Church in Forest Grove. Forest Grove Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements. ROBERT FREDRICK POPE Robert Fredrick Pope, 85, Jewell, died December 3, 2003. A graveside service was held December 10 at the Elsie cemetery. Mr. Pope was born May 25, 1918, in Astoria to Robert and Mary (Jacobson) Pope. He was raised on the family home- stead in the Elsie-Jewell area, and grad- uated from high school in Butte Falls. In 1946, he married Lois Lindeman. They made their home in Portland. He served in the Navy during World War II. He owned and operated a hair salon until retiring in 1982, when they moved to Jewell. He was preceded in death by his wife. Survivors include two daughters, Kathy Jones of Hillsboro, and Teresa Southard of Tigard; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Remembrances are suggested to a charity of choice. Hughes-Ransom Cremation and Mortuary in Seaside was in charge of arrangements. GARY ELDON DOYLE Gary Eldon Doyle, 51, Aloha, died December 9, 2003. A memorial service was held December 15 at Village Bap- tist Church in Beaverton. Private inter- ment was at Willamette National Ceme- tery in Portland. Mr. Doyle was born August 11, 1952, in Portland to Eldon and Mary (Schultz) Baurer. He lived in California, Oregon and Washington, graduating from high school in Seattle. He served in the navy and worked in construction. Survivors include a son, Jeris E. of Banks; and three brothers, Randy of Portland, Daniel of Hillsboro, and Ross of Beaverton. Fir Lawn Mortuary was in charge of arrangements. JAMES ROBERT UTZ James Robert Utz, 17, Hillsboro, died December 4, 2003. A celebration of life was held December 13 at Ever- green Christian Center with the Rev- erend Paul Godin officiating. Mr. Utz was born July 5, 1986, in Forest Grove to Timothy and Susan Jackson-Utz. He attended schools in North Plains, Banks and Hillsboro, graduating from Hillsboro High School. Survivors include his parents and a sister, Kelly. Contributions are suggested in his name at Key Bank.
