The first extended closure will be 12 hours long and w ill start on Sunday, A ugust 10, at 5:30 p.m. The bridge w ill still re open at 5:30 a.m. on M onday m orning (A ugust 11) as usual. The second extended c lo sure w ill start on Sunday, A u gust 17. The bridge m ay be closed starting as early as 5:30 p.m ., but an exact tim e w ill not be know n until A ugust 11. E ngi neers m ust w ait until after the first extended closu re on A u gust 10 has occurred before deciding the hours for the sec ond closure. T he co n tra cto r will be allow ed up to 12 hours for the closure, but the closu re will be kept as brief as possible.
