There are many fine shops and stores in Vernonia, here is a descrip tive offering of some of them: • Missing Pieces, 58605 Nehalem Hwy So. (on Hwy 47 next to Storage, Too): Offering an eclectic selec tion of old and antique col lectables and vintage goods from the late 1800s to the early 1900s. Lots of goodies are hidden away here and, who knows, maybe you’ll find some of those “missing pieces.” • Vernonia Mercantile, 831 Bridge St.: Here you’ll find gifts with not just an Oregon focus, but with a lo cal focus as well, including “Vernonia” clothing, gifts by local artists and consign ment items from locals. High quality, custom screen print ing and embroidery are available, too. • Etcetera, 715 Bridge St.: At this fun-to-peruse shop, there are affordable an tiques, clothing, furniture, collectables, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera. You nev er know what perfect find may be hiding here. • Morning Mist Collectables and More, 711 Bridge St.: A shopper’s shop with antiques, furniture and gifts galore. Specializing in gift ideas and helping you select just the right gift. • Farmwoman’s Nursery, 12891 Keasey Road: This is the place to find locally or Oregon-made garden art, garden accessories and gar- den-theme gifts, plus plants and trees to fill every dream yard come true. The seven mile drive is lovely and the destination is well worth the effort. • Spiralz Beauty Salon and Gift Gallery, 712 Bridge St.: Offers a whimsical se lection of cheerful, artistic one-of-a-kind items ranging from chairs to vases.
