D efending cham pions “ H o lly wood" Gary Meyer (street stock) and Matt Sayre (modified) both notched top-five finishes for a successful start in their bid to win consecutive titles. Tenney, of Scappoose, led all the way in the street stock A main with his 21st C entury Towing sponsored C hevrolet Malibu and won by two carlengths over H ills boro’s Scott Puncochar. Herb Thomas of St. Helens (3rd), Mey er (4th) and Rainier’s Jon “ Ra zor" Gillett rounded out the top- five. Cherington, of Vancouver, won the mini stock main with his C ircle H E nterprises Datsun. Morris led throughout the m odi fied main with his Air Flow Sys- tems/Pub 212 open-wheel racer. Portland’s Marc Sayre was sec ond, follow ed by Scott P un cochar, Matt Sayre and Clint Pet ty, of St. Helens.
