In a recent survey, 76 percent of Oregoni ans say they support the law. The law requires most em ployers to ensure smokefree w orkplaces and display “ No Smoking” signs. Exceptions in clude bars and taverns, bingo parlors, tobacco stores, bowl ing alleys and hotel and motel rooms designated as smoking rooms. W ith more than 100,000 w orkplaces in Oregon, the state has received only 128 ac tionable complaints.
