Community ........ : .....- Senior M aw s__ By Jacqueline Ramsay R eady or not, fall is here. W a lk in g the lake M onday, we saw two Cana- d i a n geese en joying the bugs in the mud along the very low w ater line. I hope they took back a very good report to their gaggle of geese. Did it rain at your house ear ly Sunday morning, or was it just over the area past the fire station? The folks who attended the Senior Center business meet ing to hear Mr. Tierney’s update on a new center w ere im pressed and told him to press forward. It will be a while, but it will be worth it. Have you heard your first Christmas carol yet? On TV, I have, five weeks ago, and it re ally disturbs me to see the push to spend your dollars on such, when Vernonia Cares needs your dollars and extra grocery items if they are to keep helping the folks in need of TLC at this time. The num ber of those served has increased by 40 percent over last year and we are ju st getting into winter, when there is less work. If you can help, please do so. Question - Did you register, read your V oter’s Guide? I hope you voted. Don’t toss away your right to your voice in our government, State, Local or National. The Senior Center has not been given a date for flu shots, as yet.
