Services were held at Murray Hill Christian Church in Beaverton. Interment was in Vernonia. Mrs. Sullivan was born April 17, 1917, in Marshall, Okla., to Thomas Levi Wolf and Nellie Augustes White. In 1936, she married Woodward Sullivan. They lived in Ajo, Ariz., and moved to Vernonia in 1946. She worked at the Palace Cafe and Miller's Mercantile, then for Tektronix for 25 years. She was an active member of Vernonia Christian Church, then Mur ray Hill Christian Church, after moving to Beaverton in 1973. Survivors include two daughters, Joyce Thomas and Geneva Johnson, both of Beaverton; four grandchildren, five great grandchildren, a brother, Francis Wolf of Vernonia; two sisters, Catherine Daily of Quartsite, Ariz; Nel lie Anderson of Hillsboro. Remembrances are suggested to Murray Hills Christian Church or Hos pice. THOMAS D. CABE Thomas Dobson Cabe, 83, Beaver ton, died September 29, 2002. Funeral services were held Oct. 5 at Banks Community United Methodist Church, with Pastor Brian E. Shimer officiating. "A Trusted flame in fu n e ra l Service" Interment was in Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, with flag honor presentation by the U.S. Air Force. Mr. Cabe was born May 15,1919, in Bend, to Carey A. and Julia Dobson Cabe. He grew up in Scholls, Beaver ton and Tigard and graduated from Tigard Union High School. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as an aerial photographer with the 3501st Army Air Forces Base Unit. He was a staff sergeant when dis charged in 1945. In 1947, he married Mildred A. Pi- anus. They lived in Portland and di vorced in 1972. He moved to Lake Oswego and, in 1975, married Marion Scott. They lived in the Green Mountain area near Banks, and in Forest Grove. In 1993, they moved to Beaverton. Mr. Cabe worked for Oregon Blue Print and was an assistant engineer for Southern Pacific Railroad. He retired in the early 1980s. He was a member of Banks Com munity United Methodist Church and the OMSI Astronomers Club. Mr. Cabe was preceded in death by his wife. Survivors include two sons, Thomas L. and Randy D., both of Tacoma, Wash.; a brother, Hobart of Oregon; a sister, Margaret Tedrow of Tigard. CORRINGTON Geraldine A. “Geri” Corrington, 73, Forest Grove, died October 9, 2002. Funeral services were Oct. 15 at Fuiten, Rose & Hoyt Funeral Home in Forest Grove, with Chaplain Brian McKelvey officiating. Interment was in Union Point Cemetery in Banks. Ms. Corrington was bom May 7, 1929, in Wilton, No. Dak., to Wayne and Irene Iverson Corrington. She grew up in Seattle, Wash., and lived in Seat tle until moving to Banks in 1969. She moved-to Forest Grove in 1979. She was a bookkeeper for Sears, Roebuck & Co., Don Frank Flooring and the Vital Records office of the Washing ton County Health Department. She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sons, Eric Ellis and Clifford Ellis. Survivors include three sons, Bruce Ellis of La Grande, Irving Ellis of Carl ton, David Ellis of Hillsboro; four daugh ters, Linda Julian of Hector, Arkansas, Janice Julian of Gales Creek, Rose El lis of Beaverton, and Patricia Dumas of Forest Grove; two sisters, June St. Pe ter of Seattle, Wash., and Betty La Grone of Federal Way, Wash.; 20 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. LETA J. MOSELEY Leta J. Moseley, 73, Rogers, Ark., died October 5, 2002. Funeral services were Oct. 10 at Donelson, Sewell and Mathews Mortuary in Hillsboro, with the Rev. Wayne Harlan officiating. Inter ment was in Old Scotch Church Ceme tery in Hillsboro. Mrs. Moseley was born April 9, 1929, in Okemah, Okla., to Jake and Helen J. Alexander Guinn. She grew up in Okemah. In 1953, she married the Rev. Lorin M. Moseley. They moved to Hillsboro in 1973. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1998; two sisters, Elizabeth Guinn and Neoma McKeever. Survivors include three brothers, Ted Guinn of Firebaugh, Calif., Junior Guinn and Floyd Guinn, both of Buxton; three sisters, Freda Schwartz of Live Oak, Calif., Brenda Ruby of Carlton, and Pairlee Moseley of Rogers, Ark.; nieces and nephews. Donelson, Sewell and Mathews Mortuary of Hillsboro was in charge of arrangements. MARYBELLE K. CARLTON Marybelle K. Carlton, 82, Forest Grove, died August 30, 2002. Grave side services were held Sept. 26 at Ver nonia Memorial Cemetery. Mrs. Carlton was born April 5, 1920, in Sugar Creek, Mo., to Clarence and Eva Aston Pittman. In 1964, she married Fred Carlton. They lived in Banks, Florence and For est Grove. She was a school bus driver and re tired in 1975. She was a member of Eastern Star and volunteered with Brown Bag of Washington County. Mrs. Carlton was preceded in death by her husband and a son. Survivors include a son, Avery Shirley of Raymore, Mo.; five grandchil dren; 13 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Westside Cremation was in charge of arrangements. WANDA N. MADISON Wanda N. Madison, 79, Albany, died September 27, 2002. Private serv ices were held. Mrs. Madison was born December 1, 1922, in Timber, to William and Alice Hamrick Flett. She grew up in Gaston. In 1944, she married H. Wayne Madison. They lived in Portland, Gas ton and Albany. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1978. Survivors include a son, David Madison of Corvallis; two daughters, Jean Shrull and Karen Weddle, both of Salem; three grandchildren; a sister, Marilyn Begert of Gaston; two brothers, John Flett of Hillsboro, and William Williams of Jay, Okla. Omega Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements. LARRY J. GREER Larry John Greer, 68, died October 4, 2002. A memorial service was held in Beaverton Foursquare Church. Mr. Greer was bom Sept. 16, 1934, in Mount Pleasant, Mich. In 1975, he moved to Vernonia and later lived in Lake Oswego and West Linn. He was a janitorial contractor. In 1982, he married Lynda Hanne- man. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Tonya Greer and Roxanne Hanneman; a son, Larry Jr.; a brother, Gerry; two sisters, Shirley Van Auker and Helen Bobizen; three grandchil dren; one great-grandchild. MARY F. VERNON Mary Frances Vernon, 48, Portland, died September 29, 2002. A private cel ebration of her life was held October 5 in Forest Grove. Mrs. Vernon was born August 18, 1954, in Binghampton, N Y. Her maiden name was Spoonhower She grew up in Santa Ana, Calif., and attended Catholic schools. In 1973, she moved to Washington County. She worked as a seamstress and was a homemaker and volunteer with the American Red Cross. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Tyler M. Herb; and a brother, Daniel J. Spoonhower. Survivors include three daughters, Tammy Vernon Herrick of Banks, Bethany Vernon of Arizona, and Janet Vernon-Hicks of Portland; three grand children; mother, Meryl Hinton; father. Joseph Spoonhower, four sisters, Sharon Sizer, Susan Bell, Anne Hugget and Chris Miller; two brothers, Joseph and John Spoonhower; nieces and nephews. CIBO OF TU N IS Wow...Where do we begin! Jake and I want to “Thank” every one in our community for your help during our recent house fire. Everyone was so caring and helpful. Our fire fighters were awsome! along with all the firefighters from community towns. Red Cross and our medical center here in town helped out with replacing eyeglasses and medications right away. Our community donated clothes, food, bedding, Creatures Pet Shop housed my bird. Please, please, know Jake and I thank everyone for all your support, and our family. We love you.
