Jenkins, no age or town given, cited for DWS Woman grabbed by man at lake A Vernonia woman reported that she was accosted by a stranger on Sunday, July 25, between 8:00 and 9:00 p.m., as she was walking around Ver nonia Lake by herself. She said a man confronted her, then grabbed her and attempted to take her off the trail into the brush. When he slipped, she broke away and ran to her vehicle. The suspect is described as 35 to 45 years of age with short brown hair and a thin mus tache. He was wearing black jeans and a light blue button up shirt. Anyone with inform ation should contact the Vernonia Police Department at 503-429- 7335 or Dispatch at 1 -800-696- 7795.
