Registration has begun and participants may take advan tage of a $5 discount to register before August 7. After that date, the fee will be $15.00. Registra tion includes an event T-shirt and a packet put together by run sponsors. Registration forms are available at Vernonia Cares on Tuesdays and Thurs days from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., or online at http://www.sign- meup.com/15120 The race route will begin at Anderson Park and take run ners along the Banks-Vernonia linear trail, around Lake Ver nonia and back to Anderson Park for music and snacks. Participants should check in at Anderson Park between 8:00 a.m. and 8:45 a.m. to pick up their T-shirts and bib numbers. Take the “Dare to Care Chal lenge” and bring non-perish able, canned or dry food to the race — and take away the sat isfaction of knowing that you have helped feed families in need.
