Ragsdale was also last year’s only contestant to successfully fall a 40’ pole onto a can of beer. Placings for 2001 Jamboree Show For the fourth consecutive time, Scott Whitehead of Tillamook has captured the title of Vernonia All-Around Logger, with a total of 20 points. Last year, however, he added the title of Columbia County Logger of the Year, by accumulating 77 points in log ging shows at Clatskanie, Rainier, Columbia County Fair and Vernonia. Gregg Brewer, of Clatskanie, placed second in the race for the county title, followed by Matt Samuelson of Astoria.
