PAMELA “AUDREY” OSEN Pamela “Audrey" Osen, 74, St. He lens, died May 7, 2002. Private Inter ment was held. Mrs. Osen was bom July 18, 1927, in Bury, St. Edmunds, England, to Rup pert and Violet Wicks Pearce. She grew up in Bury. At 18, she moved to Seattle, Washington. She worked for the Amer ican Can Company. In 1955, she moved to Portland. In 1956, she married Harold Osen. They lived in Portland and moved to McMinnville in 1973. In 1984, they moved to Vernonia and, later, to St. He lens. Mrs. Osen was a member of the Je hovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2001. Survivors include two sons, Dan J. and Stan D.; four brothers, Robert, Richard, Hector and Michael, all of Bury; a sister, Sally Butcher of Bury; two granddaughters; many nieces and nephews. Remembrances are suggested to the St. Helens/Scappoose Kingdom Hall Building Fund. Fuiten, Rose & Hoyt Funeral Home of Vernonia was in charge of arrange ments. LEE J. HARRIS Lee J. Harris, 81, Vancouver, died April 24, 2002. A funeral was held April 29 at Columbia Funeral Home. Vault in terment was in Columbia Memorial Gardens. Ms. Harris was born October 4, 1920, in Mist, to James and Marie Hu- Ian Harris. She grew up in St. Helens and moved to Hood River in 1980. She lived in Vancouver since 1998. Measurable precipitation in April totalled 2.56 inches. Boylan of St. Helens; and numerous nieces and nephews. DOROTHY I. ANDERSON Dorothy Irene Anderson, 82, Hills boro, died May 1, 2002. Graveside ser vices and interment were May 4, at Ver nonia Memorial Cemetery. Ms. Anderson was born November 10, 1919, in Scottdale, Pennsylvania, to Irvin and Ida Mae Geary Anderson. She grew up in Scottdale. She lived in Los Angeles, Calif., Vernonia and Port land, and moved to Hillsboro in 1967. She worked for Anchor-Hocking Dish Manufacturing, Alpenrose Dairy, Henry Thiele Restaurant, City Laundry and Intel. She retired in 1981. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hillsboro. Ms. Anderson was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. Survivors include four brothers, Ralph of Los Angeles, Cecil of Scott dale, Gilbert of Edgewood, Md., and Al bert of Remlap, Ala.; two sisters, Janet Normand of Beaverton and Ethel Etling of Scottdale; nieces and nephews. Remembrances are suggested to a charity of choice. Fuiten, Rose & Hoyt Funeral Home in Vernonia was in charge of arrange ments. BETHEL E. GUTHRIE Bethel E. Guthrie, 96, Scappoose, died April 19, 2002. No services are planned. Mrs. Guthrie was born January 28, 1906, in Ladysmith, Wisconsin. In 1907, she moved to Wallace, Idaho, then to Kelso, Wash., Portland and St. Helens in the 1930s. In 1929, she married Hubert Guthrie. She taught primary grades in St. Helens, Longview, Wash., Astoria, Tillamook, Vernonia, Seaside and Eu gene. She retired in 1969. In 1993, she moved to Scappoose. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1987; a sister, Lola Wig gins; and a brother, Clifford Edmonds. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. GARY W. GRAU Gary W. Grau, 53, St. Helens, died May 2, 2002. Rosary and Memorial Services were held May 10 at Colum bia Funeral Home in St. Helens. Mr. Grau was born March 26, 1949, in Vancouver, Wash., to Lambert J. Sr. and Dolores J. Albro Grau. He graduat ed from Rainier High School in 1968. He moved to Mist in 1989 and to St. Helens in 2001. He was a member of St. Frederic Catholic Church. He worked at Olympic Forest Prod ucts in Mist, and KLM Trucking Co. Survivors include his wife, Mary; two sons, Owen of Portland and Aaron of Netarts; a daughter, Nicole LaFever of McMinnville; four brothers, Lambert and Phillip of St. Helens, Vincent of Mist and Craig of Clatskanie; five sis ters, Donna Price of Seattle, Judith McLeod of Mist, Nora Jeffers of Clatskanie, Theresa Archer of Port Or chard, Wash, and Michelle Croff of Lin coln City. Remembrances are suggested to the Cancer Society, Hopewell House Hospice, Meadowpark Care Center and OHSU-Cancer Research. Columbia Funeral Home in St. He lens was in charge of arrangements. After retiring in 1987, he worked part-time as medical director for the Pa cific Physicians’ Association. Survivors include his wife; a daugh ter, Sharon Lucas of Denver, Colorado; a son, Bill of Hillsboro. Hutchinson, 85, Hills boro, died May 11,2002. Memorial ser vices were held May 17 at Hillsboro 1st Baptist Church. Committal was at Willamette National Cemetery, Portland Dr. Hutchinson was born July 4, 1916, in Bradford, Pennsylvania, to William and Gretchen Beck Hutchin son. He moved to Oregon during the depression and completed high school in Portland. He attended Reed College and the University of Oregon Medical School (now OHSU). During World War II, he was a battalion surgeon with the 35th Infantry during the landing at Nor mandy. He travelled with General George Patton for 18 months, caring for the wounded at the battlefront. In 1947, he married Norma Howell. It may be difficult to know who owns a binerai home because the name does not change when a corporation buys the business.
