NOTICE OF
BUDGET COMMITTEE MEETING
A public meeting of the Budget Committee of
Vernonia School District 47J, Columbia
County, State of Oregon, on the budget for
the fiscal year July 1, 2002 to June 30, 2003
will be held at Vernonia School District Of
fice, 475 Bridge Street, Vernonia, Oregon.
The meeting will take place on the 9th day of
May, 2002 at 7:00 p.m. The purpose of the
meeting is to receive the budget message.
A copy of the budget document may be in
spected or obtained on or after May 9, 2002
at the Vernonia School District Office, be
tween the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
This is a public meeting where deliberation
of the Budget Committee will take place.
Listed below is the time and place of an ad
ditional Budget Committee meeting that will
be held to take public comment. Any person
may appear at this meeting and discuss the
proposed programs with the Budget Com
mittee.

Composting Toilet Project
Columbia County
Columbia County is soliciting bids for the
construction of the Coon Island, Compost
ing Toilet Project. The Coon Island, Com
posting Toilet Project will be located at West
J. J. Collins Memorial Marine Park, on the
Multnomah Channel, River Mile 8. Principal
work elements include: construction of a
wooden composting toilet building, com
posting toilet and thirty (30) foot wooden
ADA accessible walkway. This is a public
improvement construction project.
Estimated Project cost range is $25,000 to
$50,000. Contract Performance period is
120 calendar days. Anticipated Notice to
Proceed date June 3, 2002.
