Physical Therapy hours:
Kristine Samuelson, Physical Therapist,
is in Vernonia two days each week, and her
hours have been extended. She now sees
patients at the clinic from 8:00 a.m. ‘til 6:00
p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays. Kris
tine reminds us that it is not necessary to be
a Providence Family Medicine - Vernonia
patient in order to be seen for Physical
Therapy at the clinic. All you need is an order from your doctor.
The number to call for scheduling is 503-216-2004.
Thank you:
Providence - Vernonia extends a heartfelt thank you to all those
in the community who sent cards and greetings, good wishes, and
treats at Christmas time. They really appreciate these expressions
of kindness from patients.
Colds and Flu:
That season is upon us again, and Providence Family Medi-
cine-Vernonia is seeing lots of patients with sore throats, respira
tory infections, and influenza. School children and adults alike can
help prevent some of these winter doldrums by being very careful
about personal hygiene. “Washing hands often, especially before
meals, often prevents the onset of those kinds of illnesses,” says
Jeanette Doherty, M.A.
