The project is funded through an Oregon Com munity Development Block Grant that the City was recently awarded. The project will result in the construction of a new Senior Center in Vernonia. Administration activi ties will include: Procurement of Architec tural Services, Contract Services, Manage ment, Bidding, Compliance Monitoring and Financial Management (timely procure ment of project funds). 1. Notice is hereby given that the Colum bia County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, May 9, 2001, at or after 1:00 p.m. in the Com missioners’ Meeting Room, Room 308 of the Columbia County Courthouse in St. He lens, Oregon. 2. The purpose of the hearing is to solicit public input on the possibility o, forming a service district with the purpose of provid ing public transportation services. The name of the proposed district would be the “Columbia County Public Transportation Service District". The exterior boundaries would be the boundaries of Columbia County, Oregon. A complete packet is available by contact ing the City of Vernonia at City Hall, 1001 Bridge Street, Vernonia, OR 97064, tele phone 503-429-5291. All SOQ’s must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on April 30, 2001. The City of Vernonia reserves the right to accept of reject any or all proposals. 3.
