Oregon’s Department of Trans portation has filed a legislative concept document, via the Governor’s Advisory Commit tee on DUII, hoping to create such a law in Oregon. If successful, this law would increase the penalty for reck lessly endangering a child from a misdemeanor to a Class C felony. The maximum punish ment for a Class C felony is five years in prison and a $100,000 fine.
