MCDONALD Ralph Dean McDonald, 75, died August 7, 2000. A funeral was held Au gust 14 in the Boring Convention Grounds. Interment was in Williamette National Cemetery. Mr. McDonald was born December 14, 1924, in Vernonia. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army in Europe. He was a minister for a non- denominational Christian Fellowship. Survivors include his brothers, Jack, Lynn and Lyle; and sisters, Joanne Hall and Dorothy Simonsen. GEORGE G. LOUSIGNONT George G. Lousignont, 84, Klamath Falls, died July 14, 2000. A memorial service was held. Inurnment was at Eagle Point National Cemetery. McIntyre, 63, Vancouver, Washington, died September 4, 2000. A private service was held. Disposition was by cremation. Mr. McIntyre was born Sept. 1, 1937, in Louisville, Kentucky. He moved from the Seattle area to Van couver in 1970. He was a maintenance worker for McDonald’s restaurants for 30 years until retiring. He married Joan Cimino in 1967. Survivors include his wife; daugh ters, Treasa Staggenborg and Melonie McIntyre; sons, Joe and Scott; broth ers, Donald and Charles; and 11 grandchildren. Remembrances are suggested to the American Cancer Society. DR. HENRY M. THIRINGER Dr. Henry M. Thiringer, 89, Forest Grove, died September 6, 2000. Fu neral services were held September 15 at Zion Lutheran Church in Davenport, Wash., with the Rev. Mark Egertson, officiating. Vault interment was at Spo kane (Wash.) Memorial Gardens. Dr. Thiringer was born November 1, 1910, in a sod house in Atwood, Kansas, to M athias and Theresia (Unger) Thiringer. He was raised in Davenport, Wash. He married Inez G. King in 1934. They lived in Spokane, where they op erated the W hite Swan Lunch Counter. In 1936, he enrolled in the National College of Chiropractic in Chicago, graduating in 1940. Dr. Thiringer then attended and taught at the College of Chiropractic in Los Angeles, for a year, then returned to Spokane to open his own practice. He retired in 1986 and moved to Forest Grove in 1988. He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Spokane and pres ident of the Church Council for five years. He was also a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Davenport, Wash. After moving to this area, he joined Emanuel Lutheran Church in C or nelius. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1999; four brothers, Hans, Matt, Paul and William; two sisters, Theresia Reinbold and Susan Slater; and a daughter, Shirley. Survivors include a son, Dr. Sheri dan A. of Vernonia; a step-son, Justin Serley of Portland; two brothers, Ed of Portland and Carl of Spokane; three sisters, Nellie Coleman and Greda Graham, both of Davenport, Wash., and Della Stewart of Seattle; three grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. HUNTEMAN Richard Stanley Huntsm an, 80, Vernonia, died September 2, 2000. Fu neral Mass was held Sept. 6, 2000, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Vernonia, with Fr. Todd Molinari officiating. Burial rites were at Vernonia Memorial Ceme tery. Mr. Hunteman was bom Dec. 20, 1919, in Cornelius, to Herman and Orta (Schoonover) Hunteman. He at tended St. Mary’s School for Boys in Beaverton and later received a high school education. He married Esther A. Herr in 1946 in Vancouver, Wash. They made their home in Vernonia. Mr. Hunteman worked for the Ver nonia Lumber mill and was a logger. He also worked as a commercial de signer, building models of architectural pens, old guns, jewelry, pre-1920 postcards, old toys, sterling silver, old knives, kerosene lamps, old furniture (painted ok], old baskets, old iron banks, old kitchen ware, single pieces or entire estates. 429-1608. Survivors include two daughters, Susan Rogers of Klamath Falls and Becky Morris of Springfield; two sons, Bart of Springfield and Vern of Klamath Falls; three brothers, Darrel of Cor nelius, Gordon of Jacksonville and Leonard of Yreka, Calif.; nine grand children; many nieces and nephews. ALDRICH Violet I. Aldrich, 84, Longview, Wash., died September 12, 2000. At her request, no services were held. Mrs. Aldrich was born August 25, 1916, in Goble, to Vi and Ethel Ennis. The family moved to Vernonia when she was young. She lived in Vernonia until moving to Longview in 1998. She married Warren F. Aldrich in 1936 and was a homemaker. Survivors include her husband, a son, Wayne of Roseburg; three daugh ters, Sharon McKee of Longview, Judy McDonald of Vernonia, and Betty Jo Hiler of Kelso; a brother, W illard Ennis of Long Beach, Calif.; 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. GLOSENGER Former Columbia County Commis sioner Robert L. Bob Glosenger, 80, Forest Grove, died August 17, 2000. Memorial services were held. Mr. Glosenger was bom June 6, 1920, in Honesdale, Penn., to Robert and Verna (Mills) Glosenger. He was raised in Smith Hill, Penn. He earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary edu cation from Portland State University. During World War II, Mr. Glosenger worked for the U.S. Navy and served in the U.S. Merchant Marine. He married Ruth Villaume in 1948. In 1958, he moved to St. Helens, where he operated Liberty Tire Store. He was elected to the Columbia Coun ty Board of Commissioners in 1967. As county commissioner, he was involved in the construction of the Courthouse Annex and the transfer of Big Eddy Park from the Grange to Columbia County. He married Mabel Henshaw Schaecher in 1971. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Eric and Robert of St. Helens; daughter, Telka Rae Peterson of St. Helens; stepsons, Gregory Schaecher of Toledo and Daniel Schaecher of Portland; stepdaughter, Teresa Glo senger of Portland; sister, Rosalie Clavez of New York; brothers, Tisdel, Bruce and Leonard, all of Pennsylva nia, and Gerald of Florida; nine grand children and two great-grandchildren.
