She was preceded in death by two grandchildren. Remembrances are suggested to the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Building Fund. Hulet was born January 1, 1909 in Cheyenne, WY. In 1929, he married Dorothea Herald. He was a Free Methodist pastor until 1953, when he became director of Far East Broad casting in the Philippines and Japan and of World Gospel Crusade in Brazil. He moved to Banks in 1974. He served at Banks Community Church and at Portland Foursquare Church un til 1998. After moving to Centralia, Wash., he was affiliated with Cooks Community Church. Box 171323, San Antonio, TX 78217. FRANQUE L. FRANCK Franque L. Franck, 78, died August 23, 2000. A graveside service was held August 28 in Forest View Cemetery in Forest Grove. Mrs. Franck was born May 19, 1922, in Elkston, Idaho. She moved to Vernonia as a child and was raised there. In 1940, she married Willis Franck. He died in 1986. They lived in Forest Grove and Newport in the early 1950s. She moved to Bend in the ear ly 1960s and graduated from nursing school there. She returned to Forest Grove and was a nurse at Forest Grove Community Hospital and direc tor of nursing at a care facility until her retirement. Survivors include her sons, Lawrence and Roger; daughter, Donna Nix; brother, Bill Fitzgerald; sister, Leo la Townsend; five grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Remembrances are suggested to Meals-on-Wheels at the Forest Grove Senior Center. HERMAN K. CROSSMAN Herman Kenneth Crossman, 84, Banks, died August 17, 2000. A service was held August 22 at Union Point Cemetery in Banks. Mr. Crossman was born July 9, 1916, in El Reno, Okla., to Ebb and Rose (Fry) Crossman. He served four years in the U.S. Army. He married Gerleen Ivy Shaddon in 1951. They moved to Banks in 1961. He worked as a carpenter until he re tired in 1967. He is survived by his wife; a daugh ter, Phillis Barttlet of Las Vegas, Nev.; five sons, Kenneth of Withaut Falls, Tex, Luther and David of Forest Grove, Roy of Scappoose, and Mike of Hills boro; 15 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. ELEANOR V. VANDOMELEN Eleanor V. VanDomelen, 84, Cor nelius, died August 16, 2000. Funeral mass was held August 23 at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church in Hills boro, with Fr. Scott Vandehey, cele brant. Interment was in Valley Memori al Park Mausoleum, Hillsboro. Mrs. Van Domelen was born Sep tember 15, 1915, in Mountaindale, to Fred and Irene (Epton) Jesse. She graduated from Banks High School. She married Raymond H. VanDomelen in 1935 in Roy, where they lived until moving to Hillsboro in 1963. Her hus band died in 1986. She was a member of St. Francis Altar Society, Pythian Sisters and St. Matthew’s Catholic Church. Survivors include three sons, Ronald Joseph and Wayne, ail of Port land, and Richard of Hillsboro; two daughters, Janice Pease of Hillsboro; and Lorna Elliston of Umatilla; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Marlene Schierscher, a grandson, a great-grandson, and two brothers, Walter and Edwin Jesse.
