SELIGER Dana August Seliger, 26, Vernonia, died Thursday, August 10, 2000, at her home. Memorial services were held Au gust 16 at the Vernonia Foursquare Church, 850 Madison Ave. with Pastor Paul Pastor, officiating. Mrs. Seliger was born July 19, 1974, in Portland, to William and Shari (Richardson) Schnell. She was raised in Moses Lake, Wash., and later at tended B.C.T.I Business School in Beaverton. She married Christopher Seliger in October 1997, in the Vernonia Four square Church. Mrs. Seliger was an active member of the Vernonia Foursquare Church. Survivors include her husband; three sons, Johnathon William Beas ley, Gregrey Michael Schnell and Christoper David Seliger, all of Vernon ia; mother, Shari Schnell of Missoula, Mont.; father, William Schnell of Port land; two brothers, Jeffrey Schnell of Portland and Cole Richardson, of Mis soula, Mont.; two sisters, Shasta Schnell and Jasmine Stoner, both of Portland; grandmothers Dorothy Schnell of Yamhill, and Dalaine Richardson of Winnemucca, Nev.; two nieces, several aunts, uncles and cousins. Remembrances are suggested to the Dana A. Seliger Trust Fund, in care of any branch of US Bank. Fuiten, Rose & Hoyt Funeral Home in Vernonia was in charge of arrange ments. ROBERT A. KROON Robert A. Kroon, 68, Newport, died July 29, 2000. Services were held Aug. 2, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Newport, with interment in Chelan Abbey Mausoleum, Newport. Mr. Kroon was bom Dec. 16, 1931, in The Dalles. He attended St. Mary’s Academy and graduated from the Uni versity of Portland in 1954. He married Elizabeth Cowan in Ca mas, Wash., in 1958. He served in the U.S. Air Force for three years and held the rank of First Lieutenant. Mr. Kroon worked for GMAC for nine years, and for Allstate Insurance Company in Beaverton for 30 years. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and had been a mem ber of the Knights of Columbia and the Oregon Coastalairs. Survivors include his wife; four sons, Robert J. of Tigard, Stephen M. of Sherwood, James E. of Auburn, Wash., and Thomas J. of Franklin, Mass.; a daughter, Kathryn Ramos of Buckley, Wash.; 10 grandchildren, and a brother, Fred J. of Banks. Remembrances are suggested to the American Cancer Society. Bateman Funeral Home of Newport was in charge of arrangements. RAYMOND V. DOORES Raymond Vernon Doores, 74, Ore gon City, died Thursday, August 10, 2000. At his request, no services were held. Mr. Doores was bom May 25,1926, in Edgerton, Wyo. He served in the U.S. Navy for three years and was a merchant seaman for five years. In 1950, he moved from Montana to Ore gon, settling near Oregon City. Mr. Doores married Sharon Swee ney in 1971. They made their home in Oregon City until moving to Vernonia in 1988, then back to Oregon City in 1998. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Karen Trullinger and Cathy Fairbrother; two step-children, Bill Sweeney and Theresa Judd; eight grandchildren and 13 great grandchil dren. INEZ J. REISE Inez Reise, 90, McMinnville, died August 1, 2000, in Kelso, Wash. Mrs. Reise was bom Jan. 24,1910, in Kelso, to Arthur B. and Helena (Col by) James. She grew up in Washing ton, and moved to Oregon in 1943. She married Albert Ross in Vancou ver, in 1951. He died in 1988. She mar ried Alex Reise in 1989 in McMinnville; he died in 1994. In 1970, she moved from Vernonia to Dundee, and in 1989, she lived in Sweet Home. Mrs. Reise moved to McMinnville in 1990. She was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters and one son, Robert. Survivors include two daughters, Marilyn Anderson of Astoria and Arlene Luoto of Carlton; a son, Richard Gilpin of Hillsboro; a brother, Robert James of Salem; a sister, Marjorie Fridmore of Sweet Home; four grandchildren, sev en great-grandchildren and one great- great-grandchild.
