Sign-ups continue for the Summer Reading
Program at the Banks Public Library. Participa
tion in the program is open to all kids, even pre
readers are elligible and may partner with par
ents or older siblings. After August 1, all kids
who meet the reading goals they set for them
selves can turn in their reading records and
choose an award book. The Summer Reading
Program provides an excellent opportunity for
developing and maintaining good reading skills
over the summer vacation.
Henny Penny’s Trip to the Moon will be the
featured performances on Thursday, July 6, at
2:00 p.m. in the Library Community Room. Pup
peteer Celeste Rose returns with a new show
that guaranteed to entertain young audiences.
Watch this column for future announcements of
performances or stop by the Library to pick up
your summer schedule.
