Association will hold its 77th
annual Pioneer Meeting and
Potluck Picnic at the Natal
Grange Hall on Sunday, June
11, at 11:00 a.m.
This year’s special event is

from every school that ever
held classes in the Upper Ne­
halem Valley between Braun
and T-shirts related to the quilt.

Another ASPCC-sponsored
event headlining in April is Eng­
lish as a Second Language
(ESL) Awareness Week, start­
ing Monday, April 24. The fea­
tured event of the week will be
on April 24 when PCC students
in the college’s ESL class will
unveil a mural project they
have been working on with An­
gelina Marino, a local mural
artist. The unveiling is open to
the public and will begin at 10
am at the college’s Southeast
Center, located at 2850 SE
82nd Ave. For more informa­

The Pacific University Jazz
Band and Jazz Choir will pres­
ent its final concert of the aca­
demic year on Saturday, May 6
at 7:30 p.m. in McCready Hall
of the Taylor-Meade Perform­
ing Arts Center at Pacific Uni­
versity.
Under the direction of Dr.
Michael Burch-Pesses, director
of bands at Pacific University,
the band and choir will perform
the music of such jazz greats
as Bill Holman, Count Basie,
all others in between.
