Jazz Studies
class will start
A class in Jazz Studies will
be offered in the spring semes
ter at Vernonia High School.
The new music class, for
both instrumentalists and vo
calists, will begin Jan 27 and
will meet on Tuesdays and
Thursdays at 3:30 p.m. in the
VHS band room.
In addition to learning how
to play jazz and to improvise,
the course will include jazz his
tory and tradition. High school
students will earn credit for the
class, but members of the com
munity are also invited to par
ticipate.
