Services were held Dec. 18, at Bronleewe-Bass Funeral Home in Hills boro. Interment was at Valley Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Morilon was bom July 19, 1911, in Seattle, Wash. He spent his early years in North Dakota before moving to Port land. He married Marie Louise Nielsen in 1934 at Fort Yates, N.D. They lived in North Dakota until the late 1940s, when they moved to Oregon, living in Scap poose and Banks before settling in Hills boro. Mr. Morilon worked in the shipyards during World War II. In the early 1950s he owned and operated a service station in Banks. Later, he drove an oil truck. In 1968, he began working for the Washing ton County Road Department. He was a member of the Methodist Church, a lifetim e m em ber of Tuality Lodge #6 AF & AM in Hillsboro, and Roy Arch #38 AF & AM in Forest Grove. He was also a member of Tualatin Valley Gem and Mineral Club. Mr. Morilon was preceded in death by his wife in 1982; a son, Dennis in 1964; and two grandsons. Survivors include his sons, Lowell K. of St. Helens and Roderick of Arizona; daughter, Linda Landauer of Hillsboro; brothers, Douglas N. of Hillsboro, Lew Wallace of Mobridge, S.D., and Gayle Wallace of Hillsboro; 11 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren. Remembrances may be contributions to Shriners Hospital for Crippled Chil dren. Bronleew e-Bass Funeral Home in Hillsboro was in charge of arrangements. RUTH LIDAY Ruth Liday, 75, Jewell, died Dec. 15, 1997, at the home of her caregiver. Pri vate interment was held. Mrs. Liday was born Dec. 16, 1921, in Newark, New Jersey, to Samuel and Anne (Asenow ltch) Kaplan. She was raised and educated in New Jersey. She married Minor Billings “Bill” Liday in 1967 at Van Nuys, Calif. They lived in California until 1971 when they moved to Grants Pass. They moved to Cornelius in 1973. Mrs. Liday, with her husband, man aged the Smoke Tree Mobile Home Park in C o rn e liu s fo r seven years. They moved to Jewell in 1991. She worked for many years as a clerk in the retail industry. Mrs. Liday was preceded in death by her husband, Nov. 3,1997. Survivors include a sister, Belle Pak- ler of Van Nuys, Calif.; a nephew and a niece. Fuiten, Rose & Hoyt Funeral Home of Forest Grove was in charge of arrange ments. ARCHIE WALLACE Archie Wallace, 82, Banks, died Dec. 26, 1997, at his home. Funeral arrange ments are pending through the Buell Fu neral Chapel, Springfield. Local funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Forest Grove memorial chapel. Survivors include his daughter, Eliza beth White of Banks. DOROTHY A. KIEPKE D orothy Alene K iepke, 82, North Plains, died Dec. 23, 1997. A celebration of life service was Dec. 27 in the chapel of Donelson, Sewell & Mathews Mortu ary. Interment was in Pioneer Cemetery in Hillsboro. Mrs. Kiepke was bom April 12, 1915, in Glendale, to H E. and Edith (Mattice) Crisman. She moved to Oregon City with her family in 1918 and to Banks in 1929 to live with her grandparents and com plete school. She married Carl Engen in 1934, they lived in Banks and later in North Plains. He died in 1941. She m arried Edgar Kiepke in 1943; he died in 1988. Mrs. Kiepke worked at the Birds Eye Cannery in Hillsboro. She was a m em ber of the N orth Plains Christian Church. Survivors include her son, Donald L. Mattice of Hillsboro; stepdaughters, Thel ma Trundle and Betty Dimmick, both of Sweet Home; two grandchildren. Remembrances are suggested to Do- ernbecher Childrens Hospital.
