It is sponsored by the State of Oregon Office of Community Colleges, through federal funds from the Child Care Development Block Grant. The program is coordi nated locally by Child Care Resource & Referral, a Com munity Action Team program. OCCB II (Social and Emo tional Health) covers helping children build healthy self-es teem, establishing trusting re lationships and guidance techniques. Prostate screenings Tuality Medical Center urologist McKay Platt, M.D., will conduct free prostate can cer screenings Monday, May 13 from noon to 3 p.m. at Tu ality Forest Grove Hospital, 1809 Maple Street. Call 359- 6161 for an appointment. Dr. Platt will present the latest information on prostate cancer and perform free pro state cancer screenings. Although one in five Amer ican men will develop pro state cancer in his lifetime, early detection and treatment can dramatically improve the long-term outlook. A new Tuality Hospitals staff member, Dr. Platt is cer tified by the American Board of Urology and the American College of Surgeons. In addi tion to prostate cancer, he has a strong interest in male and female incontinence, im potence, and treatment of the urinary tract in children.
