Columbia Co. United Way exceeds campaign goal United Way of Columbia County announced that the 1995 campaign has reached $223,132, exceeding the goal by $3,132. The amount is an 8.5 percent increase over the 1994 campaign ($205,606). “I anticipate our final figure will be somewhat higher as there still remain several re ports to straggle in, a typical outcome industry-wide," ex plained Suzanne Arnits, ex ecutive director. “ I am ex tre m e ly p le a se d w ith our county campaign effort.” The success of the cam paign is due to the numerous seasoned and enthusiastic volunteers assem bled over the last few years, according to Dave Albin, volunteer cam paign chair. “In addition to the commu nity volunteers, the generosi ty of cou ntle ss in d ivid u a ls and num erous co m p a n ie s must be credited for our suc cess,’’ added Blane Peterson, live.
