The m ajority of the work will take place within the sew er lines, USA said, and when it is necessary to dig a pipe up, traffic control devices will be provided to maintain traffic flow. Excavations will be cov ered each night. Final paving will take place as the project nears completion. In some cases there may be a brief interruption in sew- er service. If this happens, progress, is targeted for com pletio n in M arch. C open hagen Utilities and Construc tion, of Clackamas is the gen eral contractor. USA has bu dgeted $437,000 to repair the main re s id e n ts w ill be given at least 48 hours prior notice, and will be contacted again ¡mediately before the service interruption. Service will be restored each night. The project is entirely on public land. Workers will not e n te r p riva te re sid e n ce s, however they may request residents to run water in or der to locate sewer hook-ups. USA or Copenhagen Utilities employees will contact resi dents. All employees associ ated with the project will carry pro pe r id e n tific a tio n at all times. The project, which is in sewer lines, m anholes and pipes that connect buildings to the publicly owned sewer system. Though USA maintains a close w orking re la tio n sh ip 99 with county government, the agency is a separately man aged and fin a n c e d p u b lic agency. The special presentation provided children from kinder garten through sixth grades with an opportunity to learn about stamp collecting, obtain w ritte n in fo rm a tio n and stam ps, and p a rtic ip a te in d ra w in g s fo r in te re s tin g philatelic items.
