The violations included junk on property, ta ll grass and abandoned or junk vehicles. Some of the nuisances have been abated; others are still within the time period allowed to comply. Seven individuals were ar rested on outstanding war rants. All were taken into cus to d y and lodged at the Columbia County Jail. Five minors were arrested for Minor in Possession of Al cohol. Of the five, three were assault relat ed and arrests were made. The Department respond ed to a vehicle/pedestrian ac cident behind W ashington Grade School. The incident is still under investigation.
