Mixed emotions common at commencement service
At the end, it was all worth
it for the 38 members of Ver
nonia High School’s class of
1994.
“ It is great to finally finish
school” said Carole Baugh
man, "but it’s depressing be
cause you have to say good
bye to everyone.”
The 77th A n nual C om
mencement was held in the
Vernonia High School Audito
rium on June 5, 1994 at 2
p.m. The program started
w ith the pro cession al p e r
fo rm e d by the VHS Band
while the soon-to-be gradu
ates walked down the aisle
and onto the stage.
Principle Steve Giere gave
a welcom ing speech to the
audience. Following another
selection by the band, this
year’s foreign exchange stu
dents gave emotional thanks

To top off the graduation
