In Vernonia, the state will provide a Park Host who will spend half of the required time working on the Banks- Vernonia Linear Park and half of it w o rkin g in A n d e rso n Park. The hosts stay for ap proximately one month at a time. The city has also hired a new caretaker for Anderson Park. Bob Ensign has now taken over the job of mainte nance and fee collections in the popular park. March 10, at about 1:45 p.m., a seven-week-old chi huahua puppy was sto le n from a vehicle parked on Jef ferson Street in front of Sen try Market. March 16, the department received a report of a rape. An arrest was made and in vestigation continues. Three subjects were a r rested on the basis of o u t standing warrants. The Department investigat ed five assault complaints, re- suiting in four arrests.
