The Seaside Police Department charged David Norman Stanley Hall, 50, of Seaside for encourag- ing child sex abuse, using a child in display of sex- ually explicit conduct, and possession of child pornography. On Friday, March 22, police executed a search warrant at 850 Oceanway Street in Seaside. The war- rant was obtained based on an investigation involv- ing the possession of child pornography obtained from online sources. Detectives arrested Hall, who was taken into cus- tody and is being held at the Clatsop County Jail. According to police, there is no information at this time to indicate that the victims are local to this area, but rather that the content was obtained from multiple online sources. Anyone with infor- mation about this case or other cases is asked to contact Detective Shauna Wood with the Seaside Police Department at 503-738-6311. OBITUARIES Elaine Marie Strite Kiefer Seaside July 9, 1957 — March 13, 2019 Elaine Marie Strite Kiefer of Sea- school. Elaine’s faith was her strength. Eric attended Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota before graduating from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor’s Science Degree in Mortuary Science. Soon after graduating from college, Eric moved to Eugene, OR and worked in the funeral business 18 years. Eric is the proud father of three children, Drew, Isabella and Olivia. Eric enjoys the outdoors, golfing, fishing, hunting and camping. Eric’s experience with midwestern traditions and west coast experience is a great addition to the community.
