Roo- sevelt: A subject dressed in samurai costume with a sword is described as menacing by a caller. Police canvassing the area are unable to locate. Oct. 22 8:44 p.m., Holiday Inn and Riverwalk: A woman reported as having an argument with herself is determined to be fine. Wahanna: Police responding to a report of code violations at a residence find some. A man, woman and two pets were evacuated from a home on Lewis and Clark Road following a three- alarm fire early Saturday, Nov. 4. Fire personnel responded to the home on the 87000 block of the road shortly after 4:18 p.m., Lea Way: A woman who called 911 to report some- one yelling at her for 4 hours hung up the phone when a dispatcher asked for more information; police driving to the residence found no distur- bance. The woman apologized for calling 911. Oct. 25 Oct. 29 9:33 p.m. Sunset and The Cove: Police respond to a report of people fornicating in a car parked by the Cove. Police say on their arrival the subjects were fully clothed. Officer notified the complainant and advised they could pursue charges of disorderly conduct. The caller declined to pursue charges. 3:39 p.m., Rite Aid: Surveil- lance video at Rite Aid caught a person attempting to pass fraudulent paper money before taking off. The fake money was confiscated by police who are reviewing the surveillance video. Oct. 26 11:48 a.m., 1800 block Spruce Drive: An assault in the fourth degree is reported. There was a second charge of menacing. Oct. 27 2:31 a.m., First Avenue: Police respond to a report of unnec- essary noise coming from an adjacent residence. Police ob- serve the subject is nearly deaf and has the volume turned up to watch television. The subject is informed of the complaint and agrees to turn the tv off for the night. 3:26 p.m., The Cove: An assault is reported. 9:13 p.m., Highway 101: Sea- side police assist Gearhart po- lice on a traffic stop involving a domestic assault suspect. Oct. 30 7:03 a.m., 1000 block Avenue I: An assault in the fourth degree is reported. 12:30 p.m., Seaside police station: A person comes in to register as a sex offender. 7:19 p.m., Rite Aid: A person whose license was suspended or revoked was arrested for driving without a legal license. 6:13 p.m., Avenue K and the Beach: A transient camp is reported; officers responding are unable to locate. 1:42 p.m., Sixth Avenue: A per- son is charged with possession of cocaine. 9:22 p.m., 1600 block S. EO Media Group 2:15 a.m. When they arrived, firefighters evacuated a man from the balcony of the home and a woman who slipped and fell as she ran inside to collect belongings. Adding to the challenge was a steep driveway on the property and a lack of a nearby water source, Gearhart Fire Chief Bill Eddy said. Firefighters were finally able to contain the fire after roughly two hours. “It was a very, very tricky one,” Eddy said. No injuries resulted from the fire. The damage to the structure and other items in the homes is estimated to be between $90,000 and $120,000. Eddy said a wood stove chimney was the likely cause. OBITUARIES Nona J.
