She should have shown leadership pro- moting equity for girls and women through advocacy, education, philanthropy or research, and be recognized for those achievements. Last year’s winner of this award was Whit- ney Westerholm, Seaside High School graduating high school senior, who achieved the recognition of participating in four sports in her high school career achieving honors in each and acting as the kicker on the football team. She was honored as home- coming queen, taking off her helmet to don the tiara. She also was student body co-president and a 4.0 stu- dent.
