She ha taught at Mill achool for several yean, aerved aj ecretary and treas urer, of the Klamath Fall Grade School Teacher asso ciation, president of the Hrownle Leaders ossociutlon of the Girl Scouts, and an ac tive member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority. Following her graduation from Frunklln high achool, Portland, Mis Dunufno atudied at Southern Oregon College of Education. Mr. Loetterle 1 the son of Mr. and Mr. George A. Loet terle of Deshler, Nebraska, He ha made his home here for the past year and is affil iated with General Motors. The young couple will make their home In this city. SENIORS HONORED AT BANQUET Two hundred and thirty five graduating senior of Klamath Union high school were honored at banquet given by their mothers under the sponsorship of the Parent and Patrons club Wednesday evening. May 14, In the high achool cafeteria. The table were beautifully decorated with numerous bowl of tulips. Large basket of iris and lilacs were used about the room. A program was given by the senior and the class will was ' read. The banquet closed with all seniors singing, "Klamath Memories." Mr. C. L. Sparks was gen eral chairman. Mrs. Helen Mueller, assisted by Mrs. C. II. Foster, had charge of the kitchen and purchasing the food. Mr. Harry Van had charge of the decorating and securing of flowers. Mrs. James Smith was In charge of the tables and serving. Miss Virginia West, senior class sponsor, took care of the pro gram and reservations. Clif ford Rowe'i El Rodeo clas made the attractive place cards, each having the seniors' . photographs In cap and gown. Fifty mothers of seniors worked on the banquet, which Is the second to be given for a . class of seniors. SHOWER GIVEN AT CRAPO HOME . Complimenting Mrs. Robert G. Smith shower was given Friday evening, May the ninth, by Mrs. J. L. Crapo. Bridge and pinochle were enjoyed during the evening nod high scores were presented to Mrs, C, L. GRADUATES HONORED WITH THURSDAY PARTY Miss Nanette Schubert, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Schubert, entertained with a party following graduation ex ercises Thursday evening at Altamont Junior high school. Hour were from ten o'clock to twelve o'clock. Invitations were miniature diplomas tied with the school colors, blue and gold, the lighter colors used to decor ate the cake with the words, "Eighth Grade Graduation, 1941", in the icing. Pasadena Flower Authority To Be Guest of Klam ath Falls Organization May Twenty-Seventh Flower lovers over the basin are invited to hear Mrs. Charles McCullough of Altadcna, California, authority on flow er arrangement and horticulture, during her visit here Tues day, May the twenty-seventh. The meeting is sponsored by the garden study group of the Klamath Falls Woman's Li brary club and will be held in the small library club rooms. A paper sack and thermos luncheon is scheduled for half past twelve o'clock in library club rooms. Two o'clock Mrs. McCullough will speak and al so make arrangements. Those wishing are asked to bring flowers and make arrange ments which will be analyzed by Mra. McCullough. The visitor is a director of the Pasadena Flower show and has conducted classes in flower arrangement for some time. Her appearance at the state convention of Oregon Federation of Garden clubs in Grants Pass this week was the highlight of the session. Those who had the good fortune to hear her are exceptionally eager for her appearance here. With Mr. McCullough, she continued from Grants Pass to visit in Albany for a short time before returning south. Those who wish to hear Mrs. McCullough may make reservations at the flower show here Saturday after noon and evening. All wom en of the basin, interested in this subject, may attend. BOOK REVIEW ON PROGRAM AT CLUB MEETING Members of the Toastmis tress club received instruc tions on how to conduct a book review at their Monday even ing meeting held at Mrs. Nord's tea room. With Mrs. Paul Buck pre siding as toastmistress, an in structive review was held on "Gone With the Wind" by Margaret Mitchell, which most of the members had read. Discussion during the din ner hour on "Should Tipping Be Abolished" was led by Mrs. Katherine Chidoster, dinner chairman. The club's next meeting wilt be held on May the twenty sixth when a book review will be conducted and further plans will be discussed for the Shake sperian drama to be presented here in July by the club of which Mrs. Walter Brown is president. ANNOUNCEMENT OF MARRIAGE RECEIVED HERE Word has been received here of the marriage of Miss Beth Glick of Bonanza and Mr. Mel bourn Atkins of Central Point. The ceremony was performed at the parsonage of the Chris tian church in Reno, Nevada on April the twenty-sixth. Mrs. Atkins has taught for the past three years in the Bonanza schools. Both attend ed school at SOCE at Ashland, and Mr. Atkins later studied at Oregon State college. The couple was accompani ed by the bride's father, Mr. O. F. Glick of Ashland, Mr. Stanley Glick, teacher at Henley, and Mr. John Harr, a student at the University of Oregon. BRIDE-ELECT HONOR GUEST AT SHOWER Honoring Leona Sandmeyer whose marriage to Harold L. Robertson will take place dur ing the month of May, Mrs. Robert Henry and Mrs. John Sandmeyer entertained at the home of the latter on Lake shore Drive Thursday even ing. Centering the buffet table was a large bowl of white lilacs and baby breath with tall white candles on either side. A mock wedding was enjoyed with the bride-elect opening her gifts and then cutting a beautifully decorated cake top ped with a miniature brides maid. Merryman and Mrs. George H. Merry man Jr, at the home of the former, 1121 Pacific Terrace, complimenting Mrs. Herbert George Moulton of New York City, who is visiting here for several week from her home on the east coast. She is the sister of Dr. Merryman Sr and has many old friends who have greeted her during her stay. Mrs. Frank Jenkins pre sided at the tea table which was centered with a bowl of spring flowers. Twenty-five were asked to call during tea hours to greet the visitor. On Sunday Mrs. Moulton will be the guest at a family picnic to be given at the Merryman summer home at Lake o' the Woods. BPW CLUB PLANS DINNER MEET MONDAY Monday, May the nine teenth, at half past six o'clock, the Business and Professional Women's club will meet at the Willard hotel for dinner, the topic to be, "Convention Echoes." Mrs. Earl Gardner is chair man of the dinner and mem ber of her committee are dele gates to the state convention being held this weekend in Portland at the Multnomah hotel. They are. Mrs. Harry W. The glee club contest, in which clubs from over the en tire state take part, is schedul ed for six o'clock Saturday evening. The Klamath Falls club Is also participating, some of the members leaving Thurs day, others Friday, for Port land.
