Swingle, 83, life-long resident of Jackson, Lake and Klamath counties, ii seriously ill at hia home in Ashland ac cording to word which reached here Monday. Swingle ipent 40 yean stock- raising in Klamath and Lake counties, his holdings here cen tering in the Langell valley district around Lorella. It is understood that Swingle has Deen in a coma aince Monday of last week and his condition ii considered critical. He is well known to old timers of thii lec tion. Mra. Swingle died In Jan' uary, 1941, and the elderly itocKman has been in ill health since that time. PARLEYS SLATED TO Negotiations were scheduled to be resumed Monday after noon between striking Interna tional Woodworken of America workera (CIO) and the Kalpine plywood company management after a 10-day layoff. The union wai recognized as sole bargaining agent by the firm shortly after 39 employes had marched through CIO picket lines two weeks ago and re lumed work. Representatives ot both sides have met twice since then. Meanwhile the Weed highway plant continued to work on a 24-hour basis and picket lines maintained their patrol.
