WOOL MARKET BOSTON, March 24 VP) (US Dept. Agr. A few sales of fair weight of domestic wools were closed today on the Boston mar ket. Spot combing three-eighths blood territory wools brought 88 to 90 cents, scoured basis. Or ders were taken by Boston deal ers for graded French-combing fine territory wools to be deliv ered from the new clip as soon as available at $1 to $1.02, scour ed basis, delivered to mills. Graded combing Ohio fleeces of three-eighths and also quarter blood grades were sold, to be delivered as soon as available, at 44 to 45 cents, in the grease, de livered to mills. Demand converged mostly on a few favored steels, rails, chem icals and miscellaneous Indus trial shares, lifting soma for gains of a point or more. Renewed strength In commod ities, lately seemed to encour age buying In stocks. Senate approval of the $7,000,000,000 British aid bill reminded the market of the planned "all out' effort to speed war industry. Transactions approximated 300,000 shares. Among prominent gainers were American Telephone, U. S. Steel, Bethlehem, Du Pont, Chrysler, Anaconda, Santa Fe, Southern Pacific and United Aircraft. Some preferred shares moved up a point or more. Including Pere Marquette and General Steel Castings. A block of 32,000 shares of Commonwealth and Southern ap peared on the tape at i, of 116. Rails resumed a higher trend In the bond market.
