Eatabrook also said that team sters were delivering all Incom ing "government and national de fense shipments and 80 per cent of all other Incoming freight." The railroad lines Joined in a statement which said, "The rail road freight warehouses have been picketed by unions striking against one business house, and the purpose Is to stop the han dling of Its business, which the railroads cannot refuse to accept without violation of law." . Senator McNary wrote the de partment sending a request from Henry M. Tomlinson of Portland that Mount Hood be depicted on a stamp. He enclosed a drawing by E. B. Quigley of Portland of the mountain. The department replied it could see no way of issuing such a stamp except un der the "historical" series and called attention that Tomlinaon'i letter offered no such reason. The department praised the drawing made by Quigley and said If it later was found such stamp could be issued it would ask for return of the drawing.
