Fire Destroys Ranch Bunkhouse . At Wood River FORT KLAMATH, Ore. Fire which broke out about 6:30 Mon day morning totally destroyed the large two-story bnnkhouse at the Wood River ranch, four miles oath of Fort Klamath, the build ing having been used a sleeping quarters for cowboys employed at the ranch, which comprises 27. 000 acres of tine pasture and hay land. Immediately upon tbe dis covery of the blaze, the Fort Klamath telephone operator, Mrs. Gladys Brewer, waa notified by William C- Hackler. superintend ent of the ranch. Mrs. Brewer at once called tarlous Fort Klamath residents, a volunteer force of about twenty men responding quickly to tbe alarm and rushing to the scene of the fire by autc moblle Owing to the prompt action of the men, all the contents of the bunkhouse were saved. An adja cent woodshed which caught on tire several times, was also saved from the flames' by the effort of the volunteer crew. Tbe large ranch house and barn, situated in the vicinity of tbe bunkhouse. were not Injured by the tire, the cause ot which was thought to be either a defective flue or an over heated stove.
