Nine years ago the Wash ington men won the world ehamricnsbip from New York. It was one of baseball's most thrilling, series final count, tour games for Washington and three tor New York. Ths Giants have not won a pennant sines l24.'bnt Wash ington repeated in 1925. The Senators, however, lost to tae Pittsburgh Pirates la the world series play-off. There has been no schedule softening to make np for the shift in strength.
