Charles, founder, of the Lake County Tribune, were held Thursday at th Methodist church, th Lake view L O. O. F. lodge taking charge of the ritualistic service. Orareald services at Silver Lak were performed by the Paisley Masonic lodge. Mr. Chariot' death was due to heart disease. Mr. Charles wss born April 15, 1872, at Carthage, Indiana. At the age ot 17 he and hla mother moved to Bewberg, Ore., where he learned the printing and pub lishing business. In 1890, ne nd Mra. Charles movent to Fort Rock where he'homesteaded un- 1IIH17 when he established the Lake County Tribune at Fleet- foot In northern Lake county. In 1920, Mr. Charles pur chased th Silver Laka Leader and moved to Silver Lake, com blnlng the two papera.
