Eugene Youth Wins Medal in Rescuing Girl, EUGENE, May- 2ft. (United News) A geld medal has been pre sented liuriun Junes. 13-year-old Eugene student, for the part he took in saving the life ut Ruth Burnside, 16-year-old swimmer, who came near drowning in the Mill race, April 23. Presentation of the medal was made by V. P. Walter, former hoys work sue rotary of the Eusene Y. M. C. A. The manufacturers of the medul state that this Is the first gold medal of its kind ever presented on the Pacific coast.
