Nettie Crapser. of Klamath Falls,
chose to beat her husband over
the head with a stove poker, ac
cording to his divorce complaint,

tion of Mr. Crapser. Mrs. Crapser
has caused him much anguish. Mrs.
Crapser. he charges, has threaten
ed to "get him out of the road"
that she may "get what little
property he has accumulated." The
defendant i 55 years of age, and
his wife is 39.
Mr. Crapser. he complains, has
been "repeatedly assaulted and
beaten up and. he charges, his
wife has threatened to kill him.
He has petitioned the court for
a divorce and for custody of the
minor children.
Yesterday Circuit Judge A. L.
Leavitt Issued an o&aer restraining
Mrs. Crapser from interfering with
her husband or his property.

crew of the Clyde liner Comanche
were safely removed from the ves
sel tonight when fire which broke
out in the engine room threatened
to destroy the ship.
Responding to radio signals of
distress of the Tens Oil company
tanker, the F. L. Reaper raced to
th scene and removed the pas
sengers. The captain then ordered
the ship abandoned as the fire
gained headway.
The passengers and the crew left
the ship without any disorder.
Several fire fighting tugs res
ponded from Jacksonville and were
attempting to save the vessel from
total destruction.
The fire was discovered about
12 miles off Mayport. Fla. The
ahip was bound for the north and
comparatively few passengers were
on board.
