The first case Miss Murdock ac cepted was held In the superior courts when she defended a Mexican charged with receiving stolen pro perty. Following a particularly Im pressive plea, the Jury consisting of business men and women of Bak ersfield, acquitted the Mexican, Pab lo Sarazura. The trial was held before Judge J. W. Mahon, presiding Jurist of department No. 3 of tbe superior court. Miss Murdock was met In the trial by another young girl, the latter a graduate of the law department of the University of California. Miss Murdock received her degree In Stan ford University.
