There will be no lamenting the fact among Klamath Falls motorists. The value of dimming from a safety angle has been ..tried and proven. California said it did more harm than good. Cut in cursing the dimming provision of I the traffic laws, let us not forget the real merit of ' other sections of traffic regulations. Traffic Officers Foster and Knowles are subject ed to many villificatiohs for the way they persevere in their duty. By many they are considered nothing but public nuisances. '. Both officers declare it seerry to. be the common spirit of Klamath motorists to j break the traffic laws as often as possible but NOT lUUtlAUUHTATlT.- j A little' more desire to learn the traffic regula tions and understand their necessity for safety would result in less contempt for the law as well as protec tion of life. WHY WAIT? ... . Editorially, the Canby Herald remarks: ' If Mr. Wilson, Mr. La Follette and many other great men in history could have enjoyed that senti ment of confidence and respect that was manifested after death, they might have accomplished more for this commonwealth. Can there be question of the Herald's statement? - And could it be. more profoundly true in the cases Wilson and La Follette than in that of William .Jennings Bryan? . , Lincoln was a consummate statesman. But he was caricatured, maligned and martyred. Wilson was one of the nation's greatest leaders But he was ripped and torn by a partisan press and partisan politicians. La Follette was one of the country's great states men and one of the ablest defenders the masses ever nad. He, too, was maligned and condemned. . Bryan was easily one of the nation's greatest pat nog and moral leaders. He, too, was the objecf of ridicule and bombardment. nndwSrn-'1!1 f 6 -Ch' CVen the partisan Press toftT aCCOrded them the Pce SJ?I a 10n a-nd in history that waa their due" But Lefore ft? ?' h&d to the - S t i? v H W6re rendered the h01"age and respect to which they were so rightly entitled mnr?fh undoubtedly have been able to do " 'niinn'T17 WS place' his Position and ci.r ?J! ma been. acknwledged while alive.
