"Let us have Jaith that right makes might, and j i in that faith let us to the end dare to do our j duty as we understand it" Abraham Lincoln j DID YOU EVER STOP TO THINK THAT it takes organized effort to build a city? THAT every citizen is vitally interested in the civic and business affairs of the home city. THAT the business men are community leaders. THAT their judgment should never be biased or warped by any disturbing influence. They should cooperate in a way that will move their city along faster on the road of progress. THAT business interests should be open and above board and back every worthy project for the home city. . . :, ; - ; THAT they should be able 'to speak from knowl edge and experience as to what is best for the home city. THAT they should have no axe to grind with each other, but co-operate together to the end that the home city will be a busier and better city. THAT citizens should back them loyally and help local business; as business grows so will the city grow. DELAYS ARE DANGEROUS. DON'T DE LAY! IT'S YOUR CITY, IT'S SUCCESS MEANS YOUR SUCCESS. Now radio need not be left at home. The summer vacation this year to be com plete and up to the minute must include radio equip ment. It can be secured in a compact case which will provide endless entertainment and bring the news of the day to the mountain camp as well as to the seashore, hotel, bungalow, . houseboat, canoe, yacht or automobile. "Dry cells of a standardized size are a universal commodity" H. T. Melhuish, of the Radio Corpora tion of America says. "They have so many different uses that they are found not only in the stock of the large radio shops but in the general store of the cross roads hamlet. A few extra dry cells will insure sat isfactory radio reception for months." v ' I 0 EMPLOYE OWNERSHIP ( A newspaper story tells about a car shop work er who for many years spent his money as fast as he earned it. In course of time he got a little wife, built a little home and added a little family-which just about used up his increased earnings. The telephone company for which he then work ed, talked him into saving through an easy payment stock investment in the corporation he became an employe-owner. Today he is one of the thousands of smaller stockholders whose earnings from his investment will help give the children a better education Thousands like him own stock in the telephone !inH n U ....
