E. Bradbury. K. M. Hammond, II. N. Man. W. W. Southwell and T. W. Newcomb. The primary purpose of the meeting was the financial ad justment between the fair board and tha Illy llndoo association, arising from the three-day celebration Just past, but there being no representa tive or member nf the rodeo associa tion present, the claims of both par ties were presented by the auditor, Southwell, and discussed at length. It was voted that $1,000 be al lowed as two purses of $600 each for automobile and harness racing at the coming county fair. In ad dition to a- sum somewhat In ex cess of $2,000 used 'for running, relay and eharlot races last fall. Several Inquiries from racing slablos have been arriving and the racing program Is' befog complied' by Mr. K. M. Hammond, and will be on the press within a week. As soon as plans for an exhibit bouse for poultry and pet stock are obtained, bids will be requested, and the new structure be in readiness to receive exhibits by the time the fair open. It waa further ordered that the north end under the grandstand be adequately protected by rolling doors, and that the garden produce, field crops, community exhibits, po tato division and flowers, be given space therein. This was made nec essary by the crowded condition of the main exhibit pavilion last year, and the wilting of pcrlMinble ex hibits. Hoys' and girls' club ex hibits, domestic art, cullnnry and other delicate exhibits will hnve the entire space of the old show pa vilion. The aum of $50 to be awarded In first, second and third prises of $26, $15 and $10 each, was unani mously agreed upon for community exhibits, which were regarded by the fair board as making up a most representative, Attractive' and val uable' part of the county's display. This Is the first year thnt prises for this particular division have been offered, and through the efforts of County Agent Henderson, it is hoped that the community clubs of Bonan sa, Langell Valley, Merrill, Malln. Poe Valley and the newly organised association of Fort Klamath, may be Induced to enter. Last year Malln was the only entorprlslng com munity to take advantnge of this opportunity to s'.nw the world and Klamanthtans, In particular, what boun.tlful crops, luscious cheese and other valuable products she pro duces. As tho plonoer in community exhibit work the Tule Lake Farmers' club promises something this year to surpass her Initial effort of 1926, which by the direction of A, E. Street, proved ono of the most at tractive displays at the county fair. It was formally decided that free hay would be furnished to" stock and horsea during the fair, and grain for hogs and that racing horses would be provided with hay gratis ono day before the opening of, and one day after the closing of the county fair, Insuring their manager time to pro cure hay for a longer stay. Space for Industrial exhibits, 16x1 16 foet on the wost side, and 16x14 I feet on the east aide of the lower arcade, will be for rent to such firms, companies or corporations, as may choose to put In an Indus-; trial or morchants' display. It wss finally de cided that funds did not warrant such expenditures this year, and that It were better to wait until such building might be assured sufficient funds to make it complete for all requirements. Owing to the absence of Sir. Clo ver, manager of the local profes sional baseball team, no definite un derstanding or agreement regarding the use ot the fair grounds could be arrived at. Showers for the ball players, dressing rooms and other conveniences have been Installed, nnd the high school ball and trnck teams have enjoyed these accessor ies during tha past few months of prnctico and after games. The fair board expressed them selves as one and all in favor of ex pressing a vote ot appreciation to Miss Lorena Trickoy for her part, which they deemed a very large one, in making the recent rodeo a suc cess, and without which they did not believe the attendance would have reached the satisfying figure at tained x Several bills wero considered and some passed upon favorably by the board, who ordered them paid as soon as money was forthcoming to mejt them.
