Diamond Lake Is
Popular To K. F.
Anglers Sunday
. Diamond lake has proven the
mecca of early Jsummer fishermen,
if the ceneoB of. those who .spent
Sunday the," JaM''nW be taken

' With the 'trout. biting well In the
cold water,-an4 the 'reports of the
first groups into the lake, Sunday
was a busy day and Klamath Falls
was well represented with those who
trolled the waters of Diamond lake,
as well as those who triad their
luck at casting.
Among the parties to spend. the
week-end at Diamond lake was one
composed of E. B. Henry, city en
gineer, Willard L. Smith, of the
reclamation service, and Harry
Baum, woodsman for the Wc.ye.r
hauser Timber company. They re
ported a good catch of rainbow trout
and brought home the limit.
Another party who caught the
limit was composed of Ernest Nits
chelm, Frank Bryant, Merle Hous
ton and Harry Messner. It is re
ported, however, that the last two
lacked a few pounds of the needed
II, although they brought in a good
number. The fish, according to
one of tho party, are of the smaller
variety; nlihoug'h there were a num
ber ;f "liir fellows." The party
were luncheon guests of run -Mots- itake the trip to the hike, as were
