The hunt for former Deputy Sheriff Jones of Klamath county, who on Tuesday evening took Mrs. Helen Baier away from officers, was close to an end tonight. Late this even ing the couple was traced to the edge of a canyon in the Dukes val ley district. The posse closed in to the rim of the canyon and ascer-. tnined definitely that the man and. woman had gone down into the canyon. j With the brush almost impasahle. .the deputies realized that the couple 'would be forced to remain in the i canyon at least until daybreak Fri Iday.
