UNVEILS JEFFERSON MEMORIAL WINDOW IN "LITTLE
CHURCH AROUND THE CORNER" ,
0 Miss Lauretta Jefferson Cotlett unveils the Joseph Jefferson Me
morial Window in the Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration tha
"Little Church Around the Corner," which ber celebrated grandfather
made famous. The window is the gift of the Episcopal Actors' Guild,
and its theme was conceived by Walter Wilson, the actor, and executed
in the Powell studios In London. Jefferson, in his "Rip Van Winkle"
costume is seen supporting his friend, "George Holland," wrapped in his .
shroud, to that "little church around the corner" to which Jefferson was ;
directed by the fashionable Fifth Avenue pastor who refused funeral ;
service to the actor. They are met at the famous lychgate of that '
Church of tha Transfiguration, by the Saviour, who welcomes them with .
