and Gary Gooch were united in
marriage by a double ring cere
mony Saturday, Nov. 30, at the
Fort Bidwell Community
Church. The Rev. Floyd Bailey
officiated.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Ray Stewart, of
Ccdarville, Calif., and the bride
groom is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Clyde Gooch of Vya, Nev.
For her wedding, the bride
chose a bell shaped, floor length
gnwn of satin brocade with
three quarter length sleeves.
With this she wore a waist
length veil belonging to Sally
Ayers Curtin, a cameo neck
lace which her father brought
home from Italy after the war,
and a handkerchief given her
by her grandmother. The lucky
sixpence was furnished by Judy
Davis Hcin. She carried a bou
quet of white carnations and
baby pink rosebuds.
The bridesmaids, Lorna and
Ituth Stewart, wore blue velvet
street length dresses and tiaras.
Their bouquets were pink car
nations. Janeil Stewart, flower
girl for her sister, wore a blue
velvet junier dress. '
Robert Gooch served as best
man for his brother, and John
Hussa, cousin of the bride
groom, was usher.
Organ music was played by
Grace Sweeney.
The bride's mother was at

Holiday Parties
NEW PIN"E CREEK - New
Pine Creek, although a small
community, had its share of
holiday social activities. On
Tuesday, Dec. 17, the Happy
Hour Club had its Christmas
party in (he Grange Hall. Ear
lier, members decorated a tree
brought in by Carroll Cloud and
Claude iNewcombe.
About 45 attended the party
and enjoyed a comical style
show and later an exchange of
gifts.
' On Wednesday, Dec. 18, the
Home Economics Club held
their special Christmas dinner
and exchange of gifts among se
cret pals. Dinner was followed
by pinochle and visiting.
The Goose Lake Sportsmen
had their Christmas party and
gift exchange on Thursday night,
Dec. 19. During a regular busi
ness meeting later, plans were
made for the New Year's Eve
dance at the Grange Hall.
Friday night, Dec. 20, brought
the annual Willow Ranch School
Yule program. Santa Claus was
present to pass out candy and
nuts to the children.
